General Motors and its autonomous driving technology division Cruise have petitioned US regulators for permission to build and use an autonomous vehicle without human control. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration can allow the limited number of transport to drive without human management. As Cruise stated in its blog, it wants to develop Cruise Origin, which doesn’t need a steering wheel for safe driving. Read more
