The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has processed a wide range of transactions involving the use of a central bank digital currency (CBDC). The SNB is currently running trials with other banks and regulators to test the use of CBDC. Some of the participating banks were: Citi, Goldman Sachs, and UBS. The experiment, which was carried out in the last quarter of 2021, involved the use of various systems and methods for settling cross-border transactions, settlement of interbank and monetary policy.
